- Was a scholarship athlete at Palm Beach Junior College as well as Bowling Green State University
- Competed in challengers events in Hawaii, Texas, and Florida
- Has been a Tennis Director, Junior Director, Adult team coordinator, and High School head coach, currently with Walled Lake Central
- Has coached and developed nationally ranked players
- Began playing tennis at age 14, got his first teaching job at age 15
